Completed in 2002, this oceanfront resort is located in the Nuevo Mazatl�n area, a quiet, less-developed region just a few miles north of the city's established hotel zone (Zona Dorado). It consists of several pale-yellow, freestanding, villa-like buildings that blend Moorish arches with Mexican tile work and a neoclassical layout to create the ambience of a small Mediterranean village. A skylight in the hotel�s rotunda-shaped foyer focuses natural light on a large fountain beneath, and wide verandas with ample seating provide spots to enjoy the tropical weather in comfort.

The resort is set on 20 acres and has been carefully integrated into a large grove of 150-year-old mangrove trees, which gives it a more open feeling than some resorts in the region.
